Why is being a mom so stressful?

So you spent the whole day running after your children, making sure there was food on the table and everyone had clean clothes and that the whole family was comfortable. You hadn’t slept well the night before, even barely had a good breakfast but there was no time to relax.

Moms have to teach the kids, bathe them, shuttle them here and there, run errands, appointments to keep, bills to pay, a million tabs open in your head all day to the night. And then when the kids went to bed… you were so SO exhausted that you just couldn’t relax.

You want to go to sleep, but you just want some time to yourself first.

I need some me-time and then I will sleep’, you say.

You need some sort of motivation – something to cheer you up, make you smile… or at least look forward to the next day… and your morning routine.

So you get on your phone and you scroll Instagram, or binge watch a couple of videos until late at night past everyones bedtime… because hey, tomorrow it will be the same grind.

Why does motherhood feel so hard? What’s the reason?

The next day, you aren’t able to get out of bed because of the late night sleep. But was it the late night that really burnt you out?

But was it really screen time that led to your burning out Instagram Post

You blame it on the scrolling and call it screen-time addiction. You tell yourself you should stop “zoning out” during the day by picking your phone and chatting up with your friends while doing household chores. You want to control your habit.

But was it really screen time that led to your burning out? You question your choices.

You want your husband to pitch in with the house work, or at least the kids to do their share. Why does it always have to be you who is picking up after everyone, you say… You feel like a servant. You hate the dirty house.

But was it the dirty house that led to your burnt out?

Your family calls and tell you about their troubles. You are always solving people’s problems, you say. It is getting on your nerves. Why are other people’s responsibilities spilling into your home? You say you have had it enough. You can’t take it any more.

Was it other people who led to your burnt out?

You hardly go out for holidays. Vacations seem so much work. From planning to lugging after people… and it is just a change in destination after all.You will still be doing the same thing so you decide to stay home.

Summer is breaking your back. Having the kids at home… it is such a chaos. Kids are always after you that they are bored, or you are bothered by them being on their screens all the time.

Is kids being home leading to your burnt out?

    It is none of those.
