    1. Positivity – Barbara Fredrickson PhD

This is a Positive Psychology book. It’s amazing! The author is research scientist in Positive Psychology and she shares teh 10 different types of positivity there are. But the best take away for me was that positivity is more important than happiness and why. Does that make you curious? Yeah… it is a fantastic book.

    2. The Magic of Thinking Big – David Shwartz PhD

This is a business book that I was refered to by my business coach and I just cannot stop reading it. I’ve finished it but I keep it at my bedside! 4. Dream Dua Do – Ruzina Ahad

A Muslim mindset book about thinking big, setting goals and achieving everything you think is impossible to being comfortable in your own skin. This is a book that I enjoyed so much that I gifted it to my daughter and brought extra copies for my nieces… amazing book.

(This book was gifted to me after I wrote LPM and wow Ruzina’s my soul sister!)

    5. You can be the happiest woman in the world – Dr. Aid Al Qarni

This book is just random stories and reminders from the Holy Quran but it is a best seller and it took me out of depression when I was going through grief and loss.

Dr. Aid Al Qarni is a renowned author of many best selling Islamic books (also my favorite author). If you can’t read much but need some reminders to bring back hope in life and you are already reading the Quran and standing up for Tahajjud, I recommend this book.

    6. Revive your heart -Putting life in perspective –  Nouman Ali Khan

I love Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan’s perspective on everything. MashaAllah he is a gifted speaker and the best Quran and Arabic teacher out there in my opinion. May Allah preserve him.

This book is something that I have given to my teenager and I see him pulling it out and reading it often.

From connecting to Allah through Dua, to Muslim community, Financial dealings, some common Muslim modern life struggles to focussing on Akhirah, this book is so good advice.

    7. Brene Brown – The Gifts of Imperfection.

If I had to summarize this book in three words, then I’d say, “Life life wholeheartedly.” It is about own your story, overcome your vulnerabilities and live without fear.

    8. The 1 Thing – Gary Keller

I have read many productivity books. But this is the one that changed my thinking about productivity and hustle culture. It is about how you should focus on one thing at a time and what that really means or looks like.

I know you probably think boring topic but…. oh how wrong you are! I couldn’t keep the book down. It broke all stereotypes in my head.

    9. The Miracle Morning. This is a productivity book taht will change your mindset about waking up early and how you have been told lies all your life that you need 6-8 hours of sleep.

    10. : I can Fix This (Kristina Kuzmic). A book by the famous influencer and TV personality Kristina. The book that will make you throw out your parenting books and just hug your child.

I studied Positive Psychology from Marty Seligmann. In fact he is known as the father of Positive Psychology. This book is for those of you who call yourself pessimists and have that ‘I give up’ attitude to life. If you want to change the “internal dialogue”, this book is for you.

    14. Grit – Angela Duckworth

It is grit and determination is what is going to make you successful in life and it is not something you are born with. You develop it by failing and trying again and again. This book is Angela’s whole research in a concise format. You will love it and will apply all these things to your children’s lives. Just read it.

    15. The Gap and The Gain: Dan Sullivan and Ben Hardy

Another positive psychology book. It is about how you may be focussing on the wrong metrics in life and which is the reason why you are not making progress. Stop living with a negative mindset and how to approach life like a person who is a continuous winner. This is what this book is about.
